In a CTV Canada AM interview broadcast across the country, a Halifax student who has won over $100,000 in scholarships praised the free profiles students can create at studentawards.com.

Adam Stacey, winner of the $70,000 TD Scholarship for Community Leadership, among other awards, offered the following tips for students seeking money for school:

  • Do your research: set up a profile at studentawards.com to find scholarships targeted towards you
  • Apply for any scholarship for which you meet the requirements, no matter how small the dollar amount – winning a few small scholarships can add up
  • Writing essays and doing interviews takes only a little bit of time, but can have a big payoff
  • Treat your scholarship search like a part-time job, and commit an hour each day to the task
